Soaking in a relaxing bath after a long day is one of life’s simple luxuries.
Although our apartment in Madrid is lovely, it doesn’t come equipped with a bathtub. We only have a shower, and after four months without soaking in a tub, I knew that one of the top amenities I wanted for our Paris hotel would be a bathtub. Scarlett and I were stoked to find out that there is a Lush Cosmetics store here in Madrid, Spain!
We bought enough bath bombs for both of us to use each night we were in Paris. Hey, it was Christmastime, and we both needed the treat.
When I was able to step into that relaxing tub and let the previous four months of stress literally wash away in Paris, it was so relaxing, yet so wonderfully simple. My favorite bathbomb from Lush is the Intergalactic. You can’t see the glitter or the other colors in the picture but when you first put it in the water there are swirls of blue, pink, and yellow. After using the Galaxy, I always have a nice sparkle from the glitter.
My Introduction to Lush: A few years ago a friend of mine was having a Christmas party and one of the gifts being exchanged in the White Elephant game was a box of Lush bath products. Having never heard of this wonderful place, I couldn´t understand why a small box of these amazingly fragrant concoctions would cost more than 30 dollars. I decided to pass on what would have been an amazing gift. It wasn´t until a year later when I decided to see what the fuss was all about. I soon realized that the cost was well worth it!
These colorful concoctions are an amazing burst of beauty and fragrance all wrapped into a nice little ball. It isn’t until the ball explodes in the bathtub, that you can truly smell the fragrance. After use, the bathroom will keep the fragrance well into the next day.
Lush Cosmetics first opened its doors in England, and have become a worldwide organization. One of the best things about Lush is that they are 100 percent cruelty free. They pride themselves on the fact that they don´t test on animals.
Do you like glitter? No problem! Glitter makes me happy, and I’m not bothered by the fact that you find it days and months after using it. I was thrilled when I learned that the glitter in the bath bombs is actually made from seaweed, which is a much healthier alternative than bathing with actual glitter.
My favorite LUSH bath bomb, Intergalactic
I have tried several low-cost bath bombs to “save money.” However, sometimes you do get what you pay for. The quality of Lush products versus any others I’ve tried is well worth the few extra dollars you might spend. Whether you try it once, or add these to your regular shopping list, I recommend treating yourself.
You guys are tooooo cute! So glad you are enjoying your days in Spain and your holiday in Paris! We also love the LUSH products in our house!
Lush products are so amazing! I loooove their lotion bars.
This is my introduction to Lush products. Thank you Amie. You two know how to celebrate.
I LOOOOOOOVE Lush!
I love their products too! The colors are amazing
It is so much fun to shop in there. Even if you don’t purchase anything, the colors are wonderful to look at.
Nice! A good bath is so invigorating. I like that the glitter is made with seaweed, somehow!
I know! Sometimes the small luxuries are the best.
I love bath bombs I will have to try this brand. I am kind of curious about the seaweed glitter too.
I just added a link about the type of seaweed based glitter they use to the blog post. I will post it here as well. https://www.lushusa.com/Stories-Article?cid=article_all-that-glitters
Have never tried lush? The color doesn’t stain the tub?
It sometimes leaves a residue, but you just need to wipe it out. It doesn’t stain. I find that if I rinse it after getting out, it works just fine.
I see so many people just love Lush! I am not much of a bath person so I never got into it.
If you aren’t a bath person, then it may not be for you. However, if you are ever in need a bath bombs, these are the best in my opinion.
How cute! Bath bomb for me though I know my daughter would ty sealing it for me. Love those colors. I could go for a relaxing bath right now..
You should take her with you to shop. They have bath bombs for kids as well. My daughter wanted the fidget spinner. That is her in the video.
Awww, I love LUSH! How fun to be in Paris with a bunch of bath bombs! Love your stories! 🙂
It was great! We miss having a bathtub! 🙂
I’ve heard about these bath bombs and have seen them all over the place, but I always pass because I’m afraid of all the chemicals used to make them. Had no idea Lush made the glitter from seaweed!
If you have allergies, you should research all of the ingredients. However, they are handmade and not tested on animals. I have added a link I found that explains what is in the seaweed based glitter. It is in my blog, but here it is again. https://www.lushusa.com/Stories-Article?cid=article_all-that-glitters
I love all the colors! We love making our own bath bombs. Mainly because it’s a lot cheaper that way!
I have never made my own. Do you have a recipe?
I can’t believe I’ve been missing out on this. I had to find out was Lush was. Your pics are great…glitter! Fabulous.
Thank you! Yes, glitter is fabulous! 🙂
Bathbombs are my favorite! But I don’t enjoy cleaning the tub afterwards. I prefer white bombs..haha …easier to clean for sure!
Even if this leaves a residue, it wipes up easily. They don’t stain.
Wow! Looks so relaxing! I have never tried Lush but I might just have to! Thanks!
I was hesitant at first, but they are worth it!
I have never heard of these! Okay, so have to try them. And I love Paris! Been there 3 times.
That is great that you have been to Paris three times! Yes, you need to try LUSH!
I’ve never heard of Lush Cosmetics and I never used bath bombs. I’ve received some as gifts over the years but I was afraid to use it because of my skin sensitivities. I love the way they look in the water.
I would never survive 4 months without my bath! LOVE my bathtime. Lol. Those bath bombs look amazing! I make many of my own bath products, but have never tried a bath bomb before.
I definitely like bath time.
I love a good bath! And a good bath bomb!
Since having my daughter, I have not taken the best care of myself…but I’d love to start doing more of this stuff now that she’s almost a year old and I feel like I have more time. Looks so fun and relaxing!
You would love it! Yes, we need to take care of ourselves. 🙂
Ha! My daughter, she’s five, just asked me when we’re going to try a bath bomb. I think it’s time!
Yes! You guys would love it. Have a girl day!
Lush has been around long before 2015. But it is indeed a great company.
Thank you for the information! The mistake has been corrected. You are correct. They have been around much longer than 2015. 🙂
